White Cockatoo to Perform in Lismore |

Internationally acclaimed White Cockatoo Performing Group, will give two shows in Lismore. Four days later they perform in Paris as their compelling music theatre is highly regarded in Europe, USA and Asia “This is a very rare opportunity for North Coast people to experience the electrifying atmosphere of traditional Western Arnhem Land corroboree.” Said John Allan director of Spirit of the Land Foundation, who are organizing a public concert at 7.pm Wed 13. June at Lismore City Hall, the event is also supported by LightnUp, the organisers of the Lismore Lantern Parade. Tickets at door or Caddies Coffee. A special concert for schools and a lecture with songs at Southern Cross Uni. is also planned. All proceeds will go towards the work of the Spirit of the Land Foundation |

Return of the Cicada Dreaming |

The Return of the Cicada Dreaming is an exciting project that has grown out of the visions and art of Sharman Apununga Parsons. On the 24th of March 2007 the dances and songs of this Cicada law will be performed in the Warwick Town Hall as part of the Warwick Peace Festival. www.peacefestival.org.au This ceremony is part of re-creating Indigenous culture in the Warwick area, and has the permission of the local Gidhabal Traditional Owners. |
